Shortly after the Autumn Statement the government sneaked out the news that they won’t commit to extending the Household Support Fund beyond March 2024. The fund helps the lowest income households in Altrincham and Sale West to afford food during the school holidays and to pay utility bills. It’s worth about £3m in Trafford.

It’s shocking that the Conservatives are cutting this vital help for our most disadvantaged households plunging more families into poverty and destitution.
